CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING AT GORDON RAMSAY AT THE LONDON

Gordon Ramsay at The London celebrates Thanksgiving with a duo of holiday menus. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2007, Gordon Ramsay at The London formal dining will serve a seven-course holiday menu from 12:00-2:30pm and from 5:30pm-10:30pm. Maze, the restaurant’s more informal dining offering, will serve a five-course abbreviated version of the formal dining menu, which will be available from 12:00pm to 2:30pm and from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.

Chef de Cuisine Josh Emett has created a menu inspired by the flavours and colours of Autumn. To begin the seven-course fine dining menu, a selection of canapés is offered, followed by Butternut Squash Velouté with Roasted Cèpes and White Truffle, then a Mosaic of Foie Gras with Marinated Venison, Salad of Preserved Walnut, Micro Greens. For the third course, Hand Dived Sea Scallops Roasted with Spices, Golden Raisin Purée and Cauliflower Beignets are served, followed by Braised Turbot with Fingerling Potatoes, Courgette Flowers and American Caviar.

For the fifth course, Josh Emett’s take on a traditional Thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings is recreated as Slow Roasted Turkey, Fricassée of Root Vegetables, Cranberry Sauce, Roasting Juices. For this course, guests can also opt for a Fillet of Brandt Beef and Braised Shortrib, Swiss Chard, Smoked Mushrooms.

To end the menu, two dessert courses are served – Amaretto Pannacotta, Squash Purée, Coffee Foam and Sable Breton, and Caramelised Braeburn Apples, Date Purée, Lemon Crisps and Calvados Ice.

For guests seeking a more relaxed Thanksgiving experience, maze offers guests an abbreviated version of the formal dining menu within a dynamic and more informal atmosphere. Maze’s five-course holiday offering is highlighted with Butternut Squash Velouté, Mosaic of Foie Gras, Braised Turbot, choice of Slow Roasted Turkey or Fillet of Brandt Beef, and Caramelised Braeburn Apples for dessert.

In October 2007, Gordon Ramsay at The London was awarded two stars in the prestigious Michelin Guide New York City 2008. The same week, the restaurant was also named the #1 “Top Newcomer” in the Zagat Survey 2008 New York City Restaurants, while maze was named #3 “Top Newcomer.”
