Signature dishes include: The amazing “Vine” Burger, a prime sirloin with cheese served with beef steak tomatoes, butter lettuce, red onions and Madison mayo served on a toasted brioche roll with herb fries.You wont find a better Hanger Steak in town with a choice of Herb Butter, Truffled Hollandaise or Peppercorn Jus and served with Herb Fries and Mixed Organic Greens. And don’t miss the outrageous Macaroni Au Gratin, Baked with Gruyere Cheese, Bacon, Truffles and Toasted Bread Crumbs. Madison & Vine’s Wine Program is directed by renowned sommelier Anthony Roberts who brings a broad spectrum of experience including his most recent stint as assistant beverage director at Gilt. Madison & Vine’s wine and spirits selection, specially chosen to represent an international assortment, are kept at approximately 100 handpicked labels with 20 wines available by the glass. Madison & Vine’s wine and spirits selection are also seasonal and will offer a variety of classic cocktails and wine based concoctions.

Mark Grossich, owner and operator of the country’s most prestigious portfolio of cocktail lounges including The World Bar at the Trump World Tower, The Carnegie Club in CitySpire Centre, The Campbell Apartment in Grand Central Terminal, and Bookmarks in The Library Hotel, will soon be expanding his successful group of establishments with the opening of his first restaurant, Madison & Vine, an American bistro and international wine bar to open in October 2007.
Located in The Library Hotel at 299 Madison Avenue at 41st Street, Madison & Vine will offer a casually elegant atmosphere to enjoy a quick bite and a glass of wine or an exquisite meal. With its numerous wines by the glass, high quality yet affordable American bistro fare, a full bar and top-notch service, Madison & Vine has something to offer every diner.
Mark Grossich, credited with initiating the resurgence of the upscale cocktail lounge in New York City as well as opening the country’s first cigar lounge in the early 1990’s, believes that wine bars are poised for a comeback. “We are applying the same successful strategy that we used to create and operate New York City’s most upscale cocktail lounges and are applying it to the bistro/wine bar,” said Mark Grossich, CEO of Hospitality Holdings. “Madison & Vine, our first foray into the restaurant business, stays true to the principles with which Hospitality Holdings was founded upon, of creating classic, all-American, upscale lounges for professionals looking for something more glitzy than the city’s pub scene, but less high-maintenance than its numerous velvet-rope nightspots and five star dining establishments,” he added.
Mark Grossich worked with noted hospitality architect Wid to create a casually elegant atmosphere with a bit of a Gothic motif drawn from the exterior architecture of The Library Hotel. Madison & Vine is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday from 11:30 am to 11:00 PM. Appetizers range from $10 – 16, and entrees from $14 – 36.
