“AUTUMN IN NEW YORK” 9/18-10/10
CELEBRATES BROADWAY MUSICALS

Using her own Broadway experience as a departure point, award-winning cabaret, concert and recording artist KT Sullivan explores the songs of musical theatre in “Autumn in New York,” her new Oak Room show from September 18th t hrough October 10th. From Cole Porter to Rodgers & Hart and Lerner & Loewe, from Jerry Herman to Stephen Sondheim and Adam Guettel, KT’s selections include “Falling in Love with Love,” “A Little Girl from Little Rock,” “September Song,” “Do I Hear A Waltz,” “Another Opening, Another Show,” “Autumn in New York,” “I Was Beautiful” and a dozen more popular and lesser known gems from a century of Broadway opening nights. Joining KT will be musical director Tedd Firth and bassist Steve Doyle. Eric Michael Gillett directs.
Shows are Tuesday-Thursday at 9 pm and Friday-Saturday at 9 pm and 11:30 pm, with a $60 cover charge per person plus either $30 minimum or prix fixe dinner (dinner is required at 9 pm weekend shows). Reservations (212) 419-9331 or bmcgurn@algonquinhotel.com.
KT Sullivan’s Broadway shows include George Abbott’s Broadway in 1988; Threepenny Opera with Sting in 1989 and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1995. She appeared the national company of Annie Get Your Gun, in workshop in Easter Parade with Tommy Tune, and off-Broadway in Splendora, A My name is Still Alice, and she received a Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel nominations and MAC Award for American Rhapsody: George Gershwin to the World with Mark Nadler, co-author and co-star. Regionally she appeared at Old Globe Theatre, Hartford Stage Company, Municipal Opera in St. Louis, Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse and Great Lakes Theater Festival, where her roles have ranged from Frances in Light Up the Sky, Carrie in Carousel, Meg in Brigadoon and Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday.
“Autumn in New York” is KT Sullivan’s 10th Oak Room show.
