The interior features a saucy mélange of seductive, scarlet-red walls and rich, leather chairs and booths juxtaposed with sultry silk and velvet fabrics and seductive, rosy lighting. The walls are a veritable museum of high art, adorned with hundreds of photos of vintage burlesque stars from the original 1900s Studio Manasse collection. The Manasses, a husband-and-wife team from the Vienesse beau monde, used retouching techniques to create surreal and noir images with an erotic symbolism concealed beneath elegant poses and extravagant costumes. The period décor extends to the bathrooms, which feature original 1940s wallpaper.

Strip House Opens In Key West

Key West Fla, January 31, 2008 – The Glazier Group announces the opening of Strip House at the newly renovated Reach Resort in mid-February. The trend setting New York steakhouse opened in 2000 and was named Best Steakhouse in America by GQ, and one of America’s Ten Best Steakhouses by Maxim Magazine.

“When the opportunity arose with LXR (Luxury Resorts & Hotels), we identified a need for fine dining in Key West, and selected it as the location for the newest Strip House,” said founder and CEO Peter Glazier.

Overseen by Executive Chef John Schenk, the menu introduces Strip House signature dishes to the Florida Keys. Prime meats charred to perfection, decadent goose fat potatoes, truffle creamed spinach and 24-layer chocolate cake, are just a few of the dishes unique to the brand. The new restaurant will reflect Strip House’s style of service and attention to detail, with several dishes carved and finished tableside. “Strip House redefines the traditional steakhouse experience. I enjoyed creating a menu that includes the freshest finest cuts of meat, seasonal ingredients, innovative side dishes and seafood specialties,” said Chef Schenk.

“The Glazier Group is a family owned and run business,” said Penny Glazier. “We created Strip House to offer an experience unlike any other steakhouse.”

Designed by David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, Strip House features sultry, red elements and an exclusive collection of vintage Studio Manasse photographs from the 1900s. These rare images pay homage to the female form and embody the double entendre of the name. The period décor extends to music and low lighting, creating a stylish and comfortable environment. Strip House seats 220 people in the main dining room, 50 in the bar and lounge, and includes two private dining rooms. Dinner is served nightly from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm, and will also be responsible for in-room dining, catering and poolside menus at The Reach Resort.
