THE LINE KING: The Al Hirschfeld Story is a celebration of the
world-renowned caricaturists life and work.  This star-studded
documentary is enhanced by celebrity interviews from those who have
proudly served as his subject matter; having a Hirschfeld of yourself
is a universally-recognized status symbol.  Along with personal
insights from his late wife, Dolly Haas, an intimate view emerges of a
brilliantly-talented man with an ability to recognize and record the
endearing and empathetic qualities of larger-than-life public figures.

Amidst vintage photographs and 1920's home movies, 93-year-old
Hirschfeld reveals behind-the-scenes inspirations for some of his work,
provides a running commentary peppered with wit and humor, and
shows no signs of slowing down.  THE LINE KING will be released
by Castle Hill Productions on September 27, 1996.
