For one week only-February 5-9-jazz singer-lyricist Lorraine Feather and pianist Shelly Berg will heat up the Oak Room with their original show, “Fats Waller, Duke Ellington & The Jazz Age.” Lorraine draws on three of her CDs-New York City Drag, Such Sweet Thunder and Café Society, which feature compositions by Fats Waller and Duke Ellington with her own lyrics and vocals. The show will also feature such Feather-Berg originals as “Cicada Time,” “We Appreciate Your Patience” and “In Flower.” Shows: Wednesday-Saturday at 9, late shows Friday and Saturday at 11:30. The box office at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) - home of the new Broadway musical PASSING STRANGE - will open for ticket sales to the show starting on Monday, January 21st at 10am. Additionally, one day earlier on Sunday, January 20th, tickets will go on-sale to the general public on-line at Telecharge.com, or by calling 212-239-6200.

PASSING STRANGE kicked off 2008 having earned a number of honors in 2007, including a designation as one of the Top 10 in The New York Times, New York Magazine and The Star Ledger, along with the “10 Best Plays, Theater Yearbook 2006-2007,” and four Audelco Awards, including Musical Production of the Year.

The musical began rehearsals on January 7 in preparation for its Broadway bow.
