FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed “Best of New York” by New York Magazine and “an invaluable New York institution” by The New York Post, will continue the Spring 2008 season with the nightclub debut of two time Emmy and Tony Award-winning performer BEBE NEUWIRTH from May 20 – 31. Her show “Stories With Piano” will feature songs by of Kurt Weill, Kander & Ebb, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and Tom Waits. She will be joined by Musical director Scott Cady on piano. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

BEBE NEUWIRTH has established herself as a versatile performer on stage, film and television. She won the Tony, Drama Desk and Astaire Awards for the role of “Velma” in the smash hit Broadway revival of Chicago. She also received a Tony Award for her role as “Nickie” in Sweet Charity. Her other Broadway credits include Fosse, Damn Yankees, Dancin’, Little Me, and A Chorus Line. In addition, she has performed leading roles in numerous regional theater productions including West Side Story for the Cleveland Opera, the title role in Kiss of the Spiderwoman on London’s West End, The Three Penny Opera at A.C.T., and Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew at Williamstown Theater Festival. She performed a successful run of Here Lies Jenny at the Zipper Theater in New York. Comprised of music by Kurt Weill, the show was created by Leslie Stifelman, Roger Rees, Ann Reinking, and Ms. Neuwirth.

 

Ms. Neuwirth work in film includes How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Liberty Heights, Summer of Sam, Celebrity, Jumanji, Green Card, The Paint Job, Bugsy, and Tadpole, among others. On television she is well known for her role of “Lilith Sternin” on “Cheers” and “Frasier,” for which she won two Emmy Awards. Other television appearances include her Emmy nominated portrayal of Dorothy Parker in “Dash and Lily” and guest work on “Star Trek, the Next Generation,” “Hack” and NBC’s “Law and Order: Trial by Jury.” Ms. Neuwirth is proud to be an Honorary Zeigfeld Girl.

 

FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Thursday at 8:30 PM. The new weekend schedule will present shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM shows have a $60.00 cover with new $75.00 premium seats. The 10:00 PM shows have a $40.00 cover with new $60.00 premium seats. All shows have a $40.00 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required.
