FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY
PRESENTS
STAR OF TV’S “RESCUE ME”
AND BROADWAY’S “REASONS TO BE PRETTY”
STEVEN PASQUALE
PERFORMING SELECTIONS FROM HIS DEBUT JAZZ CD “SOMETHIN’ LIKE LOVE”
FEATURING THE JOHN PIZZARELLI QUARTET
ONE NIGHT ONLY – SUNDAY, JUNE 28
FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed “Best of New York” by New York Magazine, and “an invaluable New York institution” by The New York Post, continues its 10th Anniversary season with the debut of television and Broadway star STEVEN PASQUALE for one night only on Sunday, June 28. He will perform romantic jazz-tinged classics from his debut CD Somethin’ Like Love on PS Classics. In his first live performance of material from the album, he will be accompanied by the John Pizzarelli Quartet, which features Pizzarelli on Guitar, Larry Fuller on piano, Martin Pizzarelli on bass and Tony Tedesco on drums.
At Feinstein’s Pasquale will offer signature interpretations of some of the most enduring standards in the Great American Songbook, including his haunting rendition of the David Raksin/Johnny Mercer gem “Laura,” a wistful “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning,” a swinging starry-eyed “On the Street Where You Live” and the CD’s title song, newly written by the album’s producers, John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey.
STEVEN PASQUALE is best known for his starring role as fireman Sean Garrity on the long-running FX-TV series “Rescue Me.” He is currently starring on Broadway in Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty. A regular on the theater scene, Pasquale’s credits include Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden (World AIDS Day Concert), Henrik in A Little Night Music (opposite Victor Garber, Natasha Richardson, and Vanessa Redgrave), Captain Taylor in A Soldier’s Play (Second Stage, opposite Taye Diggs), Tom in the Neil LaBute off-Broadway hit, Fat Pig, Robbie in the Ahrens/Flaherty/McNally musical A Man of No Importance (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations), Beautiful Child, The Spitfire Grill, Spinning Into Butter, and Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party.
He created the role of Fabrizio in Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas’ Tony Award-winning The Light in the Piazza. Television credits include a recurring role on HBO’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning drama “Six Feet Under” and Sofia Coppola’s “Platinum.” His film credits include the role of Dallas in Alien vs. Predator: Requiem; Aurora Borealis, which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival; and Jonathan’s Segal’s The Last Run. He resides in Manhattan with his wife, Tony Award-winning actress Laura Benanti.
FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present STEVEN PASQUALE on Sunday, June 28 at 8:30 PM. The show has a $40.00 cover with $60.00 premium seats, both with a $40.00 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required. FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City. THE RETURN OF TONY AWARD WINNING BROADWAY LEGEND
BARBARA COOK
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
WITH ADDED PERFORMANCES OF HER NEW SHOW
“HERE’S TO LIFE”
JUNE 18 –20
FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed “Best of New York” by New York Magazine, and “an invaluable New York institution” by The New York Post, continues its 10th Anniversary season with the return engagement of Tony Award winning Broadway legend BARBARA COOK. After a successful three-week run this season, her new show “Here’s To Life” will return for three extra performances, June 18 – 20. Ms. Cook will perform selections from the worlds of theater, swing, pop and jazz. Songs include “What A Wonderful World,” “Written In The Stars,” “I Want To Be Happy” and numbers from her newest CD, Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder. The show – featuring Lee Musiker heading an all-star quintet – runs at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).
BARBARA COOK – considered “Broadway’s favorite ingénue” during the heyday of the Broadway musical – launched a second career as a concert and recording artist soaring from one professional peak to another. Her silvery soprano, purity of tone, and warm presence have delighted audiences around the world for more than 50 years.
Whether on the stages of major international venues throughout the world or in the intimate setting of a New York nightclub Barbara Cook’s popularity continues to thrive – as evidenced the celebration of her 80th birthday in the Fall of 2007 with three sold out concerts with the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, her solo concert debut at the Metropolitan Opera (which made her the first female pop singer to be presented by the Met in the company’s long history), and a succession of six triumphant returns to Carnegie Hall where she made a legendary solo concert debut in 1975. Miss Cook’s ever-growing mantle of honors including the Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk and New York Drama Critics Circle Awards, as well as her citation as a Living New York Landmark, her induction into the Theatre Hall of Fame and Musical America’s 2007 Vocalist of the Year award.
A leading star during the Broadway musical’s “golden age” of the 50’s and 60’s, her many Broadway credits include the creation of three classic roles in the American musical theatre: Cunegonde in Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, Marian the Librarian in Meredith Willson’s The Music Man (Tony Award) and Amalia in Bock and Harnick’s She Loves Me (Drama Desk Award).
FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will play the following schedule: Thursday, June 18 at 8:30 PM, Friday, June 19 at 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 20 at 8:00 PM. All shows have a $75.00 cover with $95.00 premium seats, both with a $40.00 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required. FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City.
