2005 Lake County Petite Sirah
The 2005 August Briggs Lake County Petite Sirah is our sixth vintage from this beautiful Lake County vineyard. This full bodied wine was produced from Black Rock vineyard located in the Red Hills between Lakeport and the city of Lower Lake off the southern shore of Clear Lake. The vineyard is quite unique, being planted on a bed of broken obsidian and dark red soil. The vines are head trained in the old style, thus yielding two to three tons per acre.
Petite Sirah is known for its deep color and powerful flavors, and this offering fits the bill. It has a deep, dark, ruby red color. A solid blueberry fruit core is framed by dark chocolate/espresso flavors, a rustic spiciness and plenty of tannin. 100% Petite Sirah! Pair this wine with intensely flavored cheese or a rich beef stew.

Kunde ESTATE PLANTS SUSTAINABLE MESSAGE ON RETAIL SHELVES
2007 Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc Released with Spring Wildflower Bottle-Necker
With the release of its 2007 Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc, Kunde Estate Winery & Vineyards has announced the expansion of its “Because All Great Wine Should Be Green” campaign with a plantable bottle-necker containing spring wildflower seeds. The neckers are printed with soy inks on 100% recycled handmade paper.
“Bottle-neckers are one of the most effective tools on retail shelves. We wanted to design one that communicates our message of 100% sustainably-farmed, estate grown wines,” said fourth-generation winegrower Marcia Kunde Mickelson. “We also felt that wildflowers and our 2007 Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc were a perfect spring pairing.” Flower seeds include Gaillardia, Catchfly, Wallflower, Chinese Houses and Baby Blue Eyes.

Michel Torino Malbec Rosé Coleccion Michel Torino 2007 From Wildman
With over 1500 acres of vineyards standing at 5500-6600 feet above sea level, Michel Torino is the most important winery in the Cafayate Valley of Argentina.
Brothers Salvador and David Michel founded the winery in 1892, 22 years after discovering the Cafayate as an area suitable for fine wine production. The Cafayate Valley averages 330-340 sunny days per year, and has low humidity and a great thermal range, with evenly warm days (82 degrees) and cool nights (54 degrees). Irrigation is mandatory, as only 3-6 inches of rain fall per year.
All of the Michel Torino wines are hand-harvested in the estate’s own vineyards. Additionally, Andrés Höy, Torino’s production manager, practices sustainable, environmentally- friendly farming by minimizing the use of fertilizers and chemicals in the vineyard. The unique Cafayete climate manifests itself in the elegant, focused profile of Michel Torino’s wines. These are wines with an indelible sense of place, wines which complement food rather than overpower, wines which are true to their origin
